If you attended the annual meeting, you know we now have a new Park Director.  His name is Jim Edwards and we should all give him a pat on the back for stepping up to volunteer for this important position.  While you're at it, salute Heather Trautmann for her many years of service and excellent job creating many of the processes and on-line features we now enjoy.  The Park Director position is especially demanding in the spring and summer, as ball teams clamor to reserve the ballfield for their practices and families vie for the choicest dates for their summer pool-and-park parties.  Did you know: you can reserve our wonderful facility for your private party?  For a nominal fee you can have the pool and park all to yourself! (Pool can be reserved only outside of public-use times; see rules and regulations by clicking the Pool & Park Information button at left) Wondering when there's an opening for YOUR party?  You can check availability on-line, anytime, by clicking on this link: http://kingsgate1.mhsoftware.com/View.html Once you find your opening, fill out a reservation form (click blue "Pool and Park Info" button at left) then email or snail mail your request to the Park Director.  Email takes preference in the event of a conflict, and NO reservation should be considered binding unless and until a deposit payment has been received by the HOA.  Please remit your deposit payment to our PO Box address (see "Contact Us" page).  The Park Director will contact you  to confirm your reservation and after that it will appear in the on-line schedule.  It's as easy as that!  Sorry: only Kingsgate 1&2 homeowners in good standing (get those dues in!) can make reservations.   Kingsgate Neighbors Care Committee This volunteer committee has spread a lot of smiles in the last year! When the weather is cold and you can't get to the pool to connect with others, we bet some of you spend your time networking online. Cheryl Wheeler has set-up a Yahoo Group for anyone in the Kingsgate 1&2 community who is interested in joining. The purpose of the list is to provide an interactive online communication forum for community members. Yahoo Groups has a listserve (with a Daily Digest or Web Only options to keep your email inbox tidy), a calendar function, easy-to-set-up polls, photo storage capacity, and a place to keep shared files. The group has been set up as private (non-searchable on the Internet). This means that only administrator-approved members will see the information you post and you won't receive spam as a result of joining the group.
